Lullabies
Lullabies concept is founded upon complete immersion in the story through all the senses. Its point of departure is a darkened space in which the readers or storytellers remain unseen – only their voices are heard – allowing the narrative to envelop the audience entirely and draw them inward. It is essential that the visitor does not look at the storyteller, for the absence of visual fixation enables a deeper, more organic and more intense immersion in the unfolding action and narrative. When the gaze is no longer anchored to the speaker’s physical presence, the inner imagination is activated, and the story is experienced directly and intimately.
The space is arranged with large, comfortable cushions that allow visitors to recline and relax physically. It is precisely such a state of body and mind – a condition of relaxed attentiveness – that opens the possibility of travelling freely through the inner images evoked by the stories.
Scents are also introduced into the event, enabling an organic and holistic form of immersion. Darkness and fragrance create a field in which memory and imagination are released. Words assume the quality of images, while scents become guides through space and time. In this way, a multisensory experience emerges, in which hearing, smell, bodily relaxation and inner visualisation converge into a unified narrative landscape.
